Indian athlete Hima Das takes a dip in the Ganga at Mahakumbh

Mahakumbh is being organized on the Sangam banks of Prayagraj. Crores of people from India and abroad are reaching Kumbh to take bath in the Ganga. Big personalities are also included in this. Indian female runner Hima Das also reached Prayagraj. Star sprinter Hima Das, who is preparing to make a comeback in the new season after completing sixteen months of suspension, came to Mahakumbh Nagar and took a dip in the Ganga. His spiritual guru gave this information. Jakarta Asian Games 2018 gold medalist Hima, popularly known as Dhing Express, came here with her friends and took blessings from her spiritual guru Keshav Das Ji Maharaj. Maharaj is associated with Nirmohi Akhara.

Maharaj said that when Hima came to know about the North-East camp in Mahakumbh, she could not stay without coming. She came with her friends, took a dip in the Ganga and left on Sunday.” She said she was thrilled about the experience and also came to see the Namghar (traditional worship hall of Assam). The Namghar consists of a ‘Manikut’ (inner sanctum), a ‘Kirtan Ghar’ (prayer hall) and a ‘Rangali Suha’ (entrance). The idol of Lord Narayana or Bhagavad scriptures are kept in Manikoot.

Hima Das preparing for comeback

25 year old Hima is preparing to return after the end of her 16 month suspension. His suspension was from 22 July 2023 to 21 November 2024. She was facing this ban because she was not available for dope test outside the competition. Hima became the first Indian to win gold in an international track event by winning the 400m final at the World Under-20 Championships in 2018. He is currently DSP in Assam Police.
