Industry The body National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) has said that India’s achievement of establishing 100 GW of solar capacity will develop developed and developed countries to accelerate energy change. On Friday, Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi said that India has achieved the historical achievement of 100 GW Solar Capacity, inspired by the government’s commitment to clean and green future.

India fourth big country

NSEFI CEO Subrahmanyam Pulipka said, “After China, America and Germany, India is the fourth largest country to cross the 100 GW milestone. Although we are lagging behind Germany by a small margin, we will soon become the third largest solar market in the world. This achievement is the inspiration for many countries (both developed and developing) in learning and understanding, especially for Global South how to enable quick energy infection. ”

Start a new era

He said that this progress is the beginning of a new era towards achieving India’s climate goals. Pulipka said that India’s energy transition scenario saw a boom in establishing renewable energy capacity in the last decade. In 2014, solar energy installation in the country was only three gigawatts. This achievement is the result of a business-friendly atmosphere supported by tributaries. India will add 35 to 40 GW of solar capacity in the next financial year and then increase it by 40-45 GW in 2026-27. In addition to activity related to utility scale efforts, there is also a positive trend in commercial and industrial use for renewable energy, which is encouraging. Major schemes of the Center – PM Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme and PM Kusum are also contributing significantly to capacity hike.
