The Indian senior team will play a five -Test series on England tour. India-A team has already announced, in which Abhimanyu Ishwar has got the responsibility of captaincy. Now Rishikesh Kanitkar has been made the new coach of India-A team.
Subhodep Ghosh of Assam becomes a fielding coach
According to Cricbuj report, Rishikesh Kanitkar will also be accompanied by Subhodep Ghosh (Fielding Coach) of Assam and Troy Koli (bowling coach) with India-A team. They will have an important responsibility to prepare the new generation cricketers. India-A team is expected to visit England in different batches on 25 and 26 May.
India-A team will play a four-day match against England Lions in Canterbury from May 30. The four -day match is considered a first class match. This will be followed by the second match in Northampton from 6 June. Then India-A team will play an intra squad match against India’s senior team from 13 to 16 June. The Indian senior team can be selected in the last week of May.
Karun Nair got a chance after a long time
Karun Nair has returned to the Indian Test team after a long time. Last year, Nair scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket. He had scored more than 1600 runs, including first class and list-one cricket, during which Nair also managed to score 9 centuries. He has received a reward of good performance in domestic cricket. It is believed that after the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, they can also find a place in the national team.
