My job was to play carefully against the spinners in the middle overs
After the best victory in the match against Pakistan, Virat Kohli said in his statement that it was a very important match to reach the semi -finals honestly, in which I feel good to play a good innings. This was a match in which we lost Rohit’s wicket quickly and in which we had to move forward. My job was to maintain the speed of runs without taking more danger in the middle overs against the spinners. In the end, Shreyas played some big shots, so I also managed to set up a few boundary. In this match, the way I want to play in ODIs, I was allowed to play in the same way. I know about my game much better, that’s why I try to keep myself away from external noise. My job was to pay 100 percent on every ball on the field. Shubman batted quite well against Shaheen, which reduced the pressure on me significantly.
