India’s poor start
In response to England’s score, the beginning of the Indian innings was nothing special. The opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the pavilion within 19 runs. After this, Iyer and Gill took the front and took the team’s score to 100 runs. During this time Iyer managed to complete his half -century off 30 balls. However, Iyer returned to the pavilion shortly after. After Shreyas Iyer was dismissed, Gill and Akshar Patel took the front and made India closer to victory, making a century partnership. However, Akshar was dismissed on a personal score of about 52 runs after winning. After this, KL also continued to score 2 runs. When Team India was 14 runs away from the victory, Shubman Gill missed his century due to a big shot. After this, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja brought the team to the target.
The long wait is over
You will be surprised to know that the Indian team has won the first win in ODI after 14 months. Earlier, Team India won their last ODI against New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup. This was the semi -final match in which Team India won the final ticket after the victory. However, the Indian team missed out on winning the World Cup after losing to Australia in the final. After this, Team India visited Sri Lanka for the ODI series in August 2024 but lost the 3-match series 0-2. It was the only ODI series of Team India in 2024. Now after 6 months, Team India is playing ODI series against England in his home.
