Ind vs aus: The semi -final schedule of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been fixed. In the first semi -final match, World Champion Australia will face India while New Zealand will compete with South Africa in the second semi -final match. The semi -final matches will start from March 4. Earlier, the Australian team has suffered a major setback. Australia’s opener Matthew has been ruled out of the tournament due to short injury. Short suffered a calf injury during the match against Afghanistan on 28 February, due to which he was out of the rest of the tournament. In such a situation, Australia has announced the replacement of Matthew Short.

Dhakad all -rounder got a chance

Australia has included all -rounder Konor Konoli in the squad in place of the injured Champions Trophy semi -finals against India before the injured opener Matthew Short. Konoli was already included as a reserve player in the Australia team. The 24 -year -old all -rounder has played 6 international matches for Australia, including three ODIs and will now join the team in the important phase of the tournament. Konoli is primarily middle order batsman but also has the ability to bowl off -spin. He can prove to be an additional bowling option for Australia in the match against India.

For the first time after 16 years, Australia has managed to reach the Champions Trophy knockout. Five -time ODI World Cup winning team Australia last won the Champions Trophy in 2009 and now their goal will be to add another ICC title to its excellent record. However, Australia will have to face India’s challenge in the semi -finals and then win the final.
