Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh government has a tremendous scheme regarding the marriage of daughters of the state. In order to lighten the burden of parents, the government gives a total assistance of ₹ 55,000 including goods in the marriage of daughters of the state. Under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana, ₹ 50,000 is directly transferred to the bride’s bank account and the rest of ₹ 5,000 is spent and other expenses. There are some terms and conditions to take advantage of this scheme which is necessary to follow:
The girl should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
At the time of marriage, the girl should be at least 18 years and the age of the boy should be 21 years.
Marriage is mandatory only in mass wedding ceremony, private marriage will not be valid under this scheme.
Divorced women are also eligible, provided they have a divorce certificate.
Applications will have to be done at least 15 days before the wedding.
