New Delhi: During the proceedings of the House, its language will be converted into 6 more languages. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla gave this information on Tuesday. Om Birla said that now there will be a language conversion of the proceedings of the House in six more languages including Sanskrit, Urdu and Maithili. The language conversion of the proceedings of the House was earlier taking place in 10 regional languages besides English and Hindi.
Translation will be done in these six languages
Om Birla said that it is his endeavor that the adaptation of the proceedings of the House should be together in all the 22 languages recognized. He said that with the availability of human resources, this will be ensured. The Lok Sabha Speaker said, “Now the proceedings of the House will be converted into Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Sanskrit and Urdu.” He said that the Parliament of India is the only legislative body in the world where conversion of action in so many languages together Is happening
DMK MP objected to Sanskrit
DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran objected to the decision of conversion of action in Sanskrit language. He said that according to government data, only 73 thousand people in the country speak Sanskrit, so why the money of taxpayers is being wasted. Birla dismissed his objection and said, “In which country are you living in?” The basic language of India has been Sanskrit. Why did you object to Sanskrit? We are talking about conversion in all 22 languages. ”
Demand to include Bhojpuri in eighth schedule
Apart from this, the demand to include Bhojpuri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution was also raised in the Lok Sabha. During the Zero Hour in the House, SP member Ramashankar Rajbhar from Salempur in Uttar Pradesh said that Bhojpuri language is spoken in eight countries of the world and it is a language spoken in the house of Purvanchal. He demanded from the government that this language should be included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution. (Input-PTI)
