IPL 2025: The 18th season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL was started on March 22 and 57 matches had been played by 7 May. On May 8, the Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals teams came face to face in the 58th match in Dharamshala, but the game was stopped only after 10.1 overs. The match had to be canceled after warning of an airstrikes in the cities near Jammu and Pathankot. The Punjab team had scored 122 runs for one wicket in 10.1 overs, when the lights were closed, but the first weights were told to the fault of ‘floodlight’. Earlier, the match started with a delay of 1 hour due to rain and then the match was stopped after about 1 hour. After this, the cancellation of the match was announced and then both teams and spectators were taken out of the stadium. After the cancellation of the match in Dharamshala, there is suspicion on the continuation of IPL.
Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Arun Dhumal said that the government is waiting for the government’s instructions before deciding to continue the league amid military conflicts with Pakistan, but currently the match between Lucknow Super Gients and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be played on 9 May as per the scheduled schedule. Significantly, the venue of a match of IPL 2025 has been changed. The match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians to be played on May 11 in Dharamshala will now be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
