44 Pakistani citizens who were going to Europe illegally have died by drowning in the Atlantic Ocean. According to Pakistani website Dawn, a boat going from West Africa to Spain sank near Dakhla Port in Morocco.
There were more than 80 people on the boat. More than 50 people died in this, mostly Pakistanis. According to reports, the ship carrying people had gone missing during the journey. An attempt was made to find it but it could not be found then.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief over this accident and talked about taking steps to stop human trafficking. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought a report on the incident from the authorities and said that strict action will be taken against those involved in the heinous act of human trafficking.

This boat had left from Mauritius on January 2 with 86 migrants. 66 Pakistanis were also included in these migrants. The CEO of Walking Borders has informed on social media that 44 of the people who drowned were from Pakistan.
