To know about your EPF balance, the employer must have a universal account number (UAN) number activated. The Employees involved in the EPF plan are given the UAN number, which is their unique identity number.

step 1: Click on the ‘Services’ section on the portal page of EPF.
Step 2: Choose ‘Member Passbook’ in ‘Services’ section.
Step 3: You will be taken to the new page. Bet your password and UAN. Sign in after completing the Captcha process. If you do not know the password, go to the UAN portal. Click on ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen. After this, follow the instructions given on the site.
Step 4: OTP of 6 digits will come on your Aadhaar-Linked phone number.
Step 5: After entering OTP, click on ‘Verify’. The balance of your PF account will be seen on the screen.
Check your EPF balance before using the EPFO portal. Also, follow these conditions:
– If your UAN number is activated and you are registered on the EPFO portal, then only you can see your EPF balance.
After registration on the EPFO portal, you will have 6 hours to see the passbook.
-Your passbook will feature recent entries of EPFO Field Office.
– members of private trusts and exempted institutions will not be able to check their balance on the EPFO portal.
