Heavy turmoil in ICC ODI rankings, 4 bowlers including Indian jumped, out of top-10

The fresh ranking has been released by the ICC. ICC’s ODI rankings have seen major changes. Recently, ODI series was played between West Indies and Ireland. This series of 3 matches was equal to 1–1. One match was won by Ireland while in one match the West Indies won. At the same time, one match was canceled due to rain. After this series, ICC ODI ranking has been updated, which has seen a lot of upheaval.

Together, 4 bowlers have jumped a rank each, including one bowler from India and New Zealand and 2 bowlers from Australia. Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja has now reached the 8th position after a footing. Apart from Jadeja, Matt Henry of New Zealand has also gained one place and now he has occupied 7th position. Australia Adam Jampa and Josh Hazlewood have moved to 9th and 10th position respectively. Both have jumped a rank each. However, West Indies Gudkesh Moti is out of the top-10 list after 4 places.

Mahesh Thacisa maintains the top

There has been no change in the top-6 in the bowlers’ ODI rankings. Mahesh Thakarana of Sri Lanka remains on top. They have 680 rating points. Kuldeep Yadav of India is second and Keshav Maharaj of South Africa is at the third position. Bernard Sholtz of Namibia is fourth and Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is ranked 5th. Mitchell Santner of New Zealand retains the sixth position.

Gill in batting rankings

Talking about the ODI ranking of the batsmen, Indian Test captain Shubman Gill remains at the top. Gill remains the number-1 ODI batsman with a 784 rating point. The top-10 batsmen include 3 India batsmen. Rohit Sharma is third and Virat Kohli is at number 5. Both batsmen recently said goodbye to Test cricket. Now Rohit and Virat will be seen playing only ODIs. The Top-10 is the third Indian Shreyas Iyer, who remains at number 8.
