Virat shared a post on his Instagram handle and said that he is retiring from the longest format of cricket. The reaction of his head coach has come to light on Virat’s retirement. He said that he is very happy to see whatever achievement Virat achieved in Test cricket. He also supported Virat’s decision.

Rajkumar Sharma said that he salutes him for Virat’s tremendous contribution in Indian cricket and as a coach, he feels proud of the work done by Virat for the country and the example set by him for the youth. His coach further said that emotionally, it is sad that Virat will no longer be seen playing Test cricket again. He could play a lot of cricket, there is still a lot of cricket left in him. On the decision of retirement, Rajkumar Sharma said that he appreciates and supports him. He hopes that Virat will be present to win the ODI World Cup for India and he will be 100 percent committed to this.
