Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurthy turns 67 today. Kavita has been ruling the film industry with her melodious voice for more than three decades. He learned Rabindra Sangeet at an early age and later took professional training in classical music. Till now he has sung more than 25000 songs in 16 languages. In 1971, Kavita recorded her first song for a Bengali film with Lata Mangeshkar, the voice of India. Kavita has won many awards throughout her career. The singer has received 4 Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, Lata Mangeshkar Award and India’s fourth highest civilian award ‘Padma Shri’ in 2005.
His voice makes any song a classic. The singer is known for having a versatile singing career. Kavita started her career by singing commercial jingles. It was from here that Kavita got a chance to enter the film world and became famous. Today on his birthday, we know some songs which made him a star in the music world.
