The fare of a good 1BHK near the office was about 25000 rupees a month. Maintenance and utilities expenses separately. Eating outside on regular basis a week means to eat and cost 6000 to 8000 rupees. Also, if you mix cab, grocery goods and weekend plans, then the expenses of the month used to go beyond Rs 45000 comfortably.
What was the experience of Bengaluru
The post further wrote, ‘Bengaluru looked a bit cheaper. The monthly fare of the same apartment is around Rs 18,000. Grocery items and food were a bit cheaper, and the auto and cab fare did not seem as if being robbed. In such a situation, the monthly expenditure there was around 35000 rupees. Meenal further says, ‘At first glance, the difference of Rs 10000 per month cannot seem to change life. But on an annual basis, this difference was more than 1 lakh rupees. And this difference for me decided how much I can save, how much I can invest, or also take risks.
