GST Portal Down: The GST portal suddenly came to a standstill before the deadline, due to which taxpayers across the country are worried. Taxpayers are facing a lot of problems due to GST portal being down. The portal is not working for more than 24 hours even as the deadline for filing monthly and quarterly returns is approaching.
The last date for filing returns is Saturday, January 11, 2025, but due to portal problems, many traders are not able to file returns. In view of the current situation, traders are demanding from the government to extend the deadline from January 11 to January 13.
The technical team is solving this problem
Responding to the issue on Thursday, the official social media handle of GSTN said, ‘Some users are facing issues in preparing and filing their GSTR-1 summary. He also told that his technical team is working rapidly to solve this problem.

A recent update informed users that, ‘The website is likely to be activated by 12 noon on Friday, giving limited time to taxpayers to file returns before the deadline. The update also noted that some users were facing issues in preparing and filing GSTR-1 summary, their technical team is working to resolve the issue quickly.
Portal not working for a long time
According to people, they have been trying to fill the form for the last several hours but the file is not being updated. This time traders were hopeful that there would be no problem while filing returns, but due to the portal being down, they are facing problems. More difficulties have arisen for those who were planning to file their returns on the last day. Since the portal was down, people have been demanding extension of its deadline.
