Google Pixel Chip
Google has shied to Samsung for its Pixel smartphone. Tech will create a new company Tensor processor instead of Samsung for the company’s upcoming pixel smartphones and tablets. Samsung has made the processor of the last four Tenor G series. The South Korean company is working to make a processor for the Pixel smartphone since 2020. In the Google Pixel 6 series, the company first used the Tensor G1 processor created by Samsung. Since then, all the pixel devices launched till the Pixel 9 series have used the processor of the Tensor G series made by Samsung.
Partnership with TSMC
According to the recent Digitimes report, Google has a long partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Chip Making for its upcoming Pixel smartphone. Google officials have recently visited TSMC. The company has shared a chip with the TSMC for 2029. Later it can be further extended. This means that TSMC will be used for TSMC till Google Pixel 14 series.
According to the report, in this partnership between Google and TSMC, the contract for making processors for 3 to 5 years has been signed. The upcoming Pixel 10 series will use a 3Nm chip made of TSMC i.e. Tensor G5 will use TSMC chip containing 3Nm processing technology. Four models- Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be launched in Pixel 10 series. At the same time, the company can use the same processor in Pixel 10A.
Hardware will be improved
In the past, reports about Tensor G5 have been revealed, which states that hardware will be changed in the upcoming chipset. This processor is of better performance than the previous model. It will get to see changes like Olvez-on Commute (AOC) audio processor, TPU chip, IC design, server, liquid cooling design. Let us know that the chip based on TSMC technology is used in the premium phone of many brands including Apple iPhone.
