Tata Group’s airline Air India Express on Saturday started a director flight from Kolkata to Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The first flight on the Kolkata-Hindon route landed in Hindon at 9.30 am. According to PTI news, Hindon flight from Kolkata will operate daily. While the flight from Hindon to Kolkata will operate six days a week except Saturday. The flights will fly from Kolkata at 7.10 am and reach Hindon at 9.30 am daily, while the return flights will leave from Hindon Airport at 5.20 pm and reach Kolkata at 7.40 pm.

According to the news, Air India Express said it would operate 40 weekly flights from Hindon, which would directly connect Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu and Kolkata. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, who was present on the occasion, inaugurated the services of Air India Express from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad on Saturday. Air India Express Managing Director Alok Singh said that besides Hindon, Ghaziabad and western parts of Uttar Pradesh, besides a huge catchment area covering the eastern and northern geography of Delhi-NCR.
Flight started for here a few months ago
Air India Express started a Daily flight from Kolkata to Shri Vijayapuram (Port Blair) a few months ago. From December 15, the airline has launched an additional daily flight on this route, which provides contact between Kolkata and Sri Vijayapuram twice a day. The Air India Group completed the merger of AIX Connect with Air India Express last year. The company’s fleet formed after the merger is expected to cross 100 by the end of March next year. The unit works under Air India Express name and airline code IX.
