Good days for mobile users

120 crore mobile users of the country can get a gift in the new year. TRAI has made extensive planning for this. TRAI has prepared to provide relief to these users who were angry due to the recharge plans becoming expensive in July. Especially the users having two SIM cards and using 2G phones are going to get big benefit from it. To put it in simple language, good days are about to return once again for mobile users.

TRAI made a strong plan

Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea and BSNL currently offer voice + data packs to their mobile users, in which users get data along with calling. Apart from this, telecom companies also offer data only packs. However, data only packs can be clubbed with an already existing plan. Incoming calls are not available in this plan. TRAI may soon issue instructions to telecom companies to launch voice only plans.

The voice only plan will benefit those crores of 2G users in the country who use mobile phones only for calling. Apart from this, its benefit will also be available to those users who have two SIM cards. Generally users keep one main and one secondary SIM card. Users use the secondary SIM card either for data or calling. In such a situation, they have to spend more to recharge this number, because no company has voice only plans.

You will get cheap recharge

When voice only plans are launched by telecom companies, users will get cheap recharge for their secondary SIM. Whereas in the primary SIM card they can use the existing expensive recharge plans. According to the report of CNBC Awaaz, TRAI is soon going to bring new regulations for this, so that users can recharge their numbers only with voice + SMS pack. At present there are 300 million i.e. around 30 crore 2G users in India. These users have to do expensive recharge to keep their number active.

TRAI had released a consultation paper for this in July, so that guidelines could be prepared for this by sitting with the stakeholders. TRAI has implemented many new rules for mobile users this year, in which users will get rid of fake calls.
