BIS Care app is very easy to use. First download the app, then register with your mobile number and email ID. After this go to “Verify HUID” option and enter the HUID number printed on the jewellery. The app instantly shows you information related to that jewelery like jeweler name, hallmarking centre, AHC registration number, purity percentage and hallmarking date. Based on this information you can be confident of buying real gold.
If you get fake gold from any shop or find the hallmark wrong on the jewellery, you can also lodge a complaint through the “Register Complaint” section of this app. Along with this you can also upload photos or other evidence. After filing the complaint, the app will give you a reference number and you will get updates on the complaint process through SMS or email.
