Use backup key
Many smart locks used in doors come with biometric features. You can open such a lock through your fingerprint. If you have not set up the biometric feature in the lock, you must have a backup key of the smart lock. Physical keys are also used for backup in doors with smart locks. You can open the door easily with this key.
Reset password through app
For smart lock you have to install an app in your phone. You can control the door lock through the app. If you don’t have a backup key, you can unlock the door by going to your smartphone app and connecting the lock over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. To enter the app, OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, using which you can find out the password and open the door.
factory reset
Apart from this, find the reset button given on the smart lock installed on the door. It is usually behind the lock. Press and hold it and reset the password. To do this you will also need the programming code for the lock’s app, which will be found in the manual provided with the lock. You can reset the smart lock password by following the instructions given in the manual.
