Federal Bank Charges: The Federal Bank involved in the count of private sector banks has changed the service charge and fees. These new charges will be applicable from 1 June 2025. These changes include ATM transactions charge, cash transaction charge, average monthly balance (amb), penalty, locker fare and charge related to the account discontinuity.
Cash Transaction Charge
Customers for a savings account can take advantage of 5 free cash transactions every month or cash deposits of up to Rs 5 lakh, whichever is earlier. After this, Rs 1,000 or its share will be charged Rs 4 and a minimum of Rs 100 per transaction will be charged.
Average monthly balance (amb) fine
Club, dillite, all NRIs and Resident Saving Scheme Accountants will need to maintain an Amb of Rs 5,000.
Common customers will charge up to Rs 20% reduction by Rs 75 and 100% reduction will be charged up to Rs 375.
This charge on senior citizens will be between Rs 60 and Rs 300.
The charge for all accounts in rural branch will be slightly lower -general customers will pay Rs 60 -300 and senior citizens Rs 50 -Rs 50.
ATM Transaction Charge
After free limit from other banks’ ATMs, transactions will be charged Rs 23 for financial transactions and Rs 12 for non-financial transaction (eg balance inquiry).
Due to low balance, a charge will be charged Rs 25 per time on rejected transactions.
No charge will be charged at the ATM of Federal Bank.
Inward check return charge
Rs 400 per time for rural areas and senior citizens,
The charge of Rs 500 per time has been fixed for other customers.

Rural and semi-urban branch
Small Locker: Rs 2,000 annual fare
medium: Rs 3,300 fare
Big: Rs 5,500 fare
Urban and metro branches
Small Locker: Rs 2,950 to Rs 5,000 fare
medium: Rs 3,950 to Rs 6,800
Big: Fare from Rs 7,400 to Rs 12,800
Charge of Close account
100 rupees for closure within 6 months
Closing between 6-12 months: Rs 100 on rural or senior citizen account, Rs 300 on other accounts. Also, there will be no charge on closing the account within 14 days of the first deposit.
