Boat overturns while crossing the river
A very painful accident occurred in Deogarh district of Odisha. Two young children have died after a boat overturned in a creep water storage area near Talasir village of Khilei Panchayat under Kundigola police station in Deogarh, while his mother is still missing. The incident happened when a family was crossing the river with a donga to catch fish.
According to the information, the accident happened late at night when the family was crossing the river. The family went to spend the night by building a scaffold on the banks of the river to catch fish. At the same time, due to fear of elephants, those people started returning and the boat overturned while crossing the river.
Four people drowned due to boat overturning
Donga had a man named Bulu Panthei, his wife Jyotsna Panthei, his 5 -year -old son Ayush Panthei and 3 -year -old Riyesh Penthei. The four people drowned in the water due to the boat overturning. After the incident, the bodies of Ayush and Riyash have been recovered from the river on Thursday morning, but mother Jyotsna is still missing. The search operation is being carried out with the help of local police and rescue teams.
The father of the children, Bulu Panthei, escaped somehow in the accident, but he lost his children in front of his eyes and the wife has not been detected yet. This accident has created an atmosphere of mourning and panic in the entire village.
The family used to come to the fishing river
Govind Pradhan, sarpanch of Khilei Panchayat, said, “Yesterday, the boat overturned while laying a net for fishing and two small children were also riding on the new. After overturning the boat, both the children and their mother in the boat were also drowned in the water. The family is a resident of Mosakani village and often came in the fishing river”
There have been many such incidents in the creep reservoir many times, but so far no concrete measures have been taken by the administration. Questions are being raised from this incident that why did the family come to cross the river without any security in the dark of night and will the administration take any action on it? At present, the police is investigating the incident and rescue work is going on. The villagers and other family members have only tears in their eyes.
