Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that he cannot accept export of raw materials in the country and import of finished products. Along with this, he emphasized that the value addition should be in the country itself. Inaugurating the ‘Utkarsh Odisha, Make in Odisha Conclave’ in Bhubaneswar, PM Modi said that he considers East India as the engine of the country and Odisha plays an important role in it. The Prime Minister said that the aspirations of crores of people are pushing India forward on the path of development.
Development of the country is not possible only by exporting raw materials
PM Modi said in his address, “Development of the country is not possible only with the export of raw materials. So we are changing the entire environment and working with a new approach. Here minerals are extracted and exported to other countries, where they are valued and new products are made. These finished products are again sent back to India and Modi does not accept this. ”
Connected Infrastructure and Multi-Model Connectivity ‘is 21st century
The Prime Minister said that the 21st century is the century of ‘Connected Infrastructure and Multi-model connectivity’. He said, “India is constructing special infrastructure at an unprecedented speed and wide scale. This will make India a great destination for investment. I am confident that Odisha will soon touch the heights of development, which no one would ever imagine. I am happy that the entire party of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Manjhi is committed to accelerating the development of the state. ”The Prime Minister said that ASEAN countries have shown interest in strengthening trade relations with Odisha.
Legendary industrialists attended the inauguration ceremony
An official statement said that about 7500 business representatives, including big industrialists, are expected to participate in this two -day conference. Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Aggarwal, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and Jindal Steel & Power Chairman Naveen Jindal were present at the inauguration ceremony. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also attended the program.
