EPFO 3.0: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is preparing to launch its new digital platform EPFO 3.0 between May-June 2025. This has already been announced by Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
The objective of this upgraded system is to provide better, fast and transparent service to more than 9 crore EPF account holders. Many new facilities will be added to the new platform through modern IT infrastructure. This will speed up processing and improve member experience.
What new features will EPFO 3.0 get?
- ATM to Fund withdrawal: The EPF members will be able to remove the funds directly from the ATM after their claim approval, as in normal bank transactions.
- Auto-Clam Settlement: The claims will now be settled by the automated system, which will reduce the need for the manual process and decrease the processing time.
- Digital improvement facility: Members will now be able to update their account information like names, date of birth etc. online. This will end the documentary process.
- OTP Verification: OTP -based verification will be started instead of traditional form -based process. This will make the membership process simple and faster.
- Complaint system improvement: The new platform will be equipped with better and fast complaint solution process. This will help in resolving the problems of account holders.
- Integration of plans: The goal of EPFO is to integrate schemes like Atal Pension Yojana (Atal Pension Yojana) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Bima Yojana. This will benefit crores of workers in the unorganized sector.
ESIC services will also expand
Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is working towards providing free treatment facilities to its beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. This treatment will be available in government, private and charitable hospitals.
The ESIC network currently consists of 165 hospitals across the country, providing health services to about 18 crore beneficiaries.
