EPF made a big announcement! Now no document will be given to withdraw money – EPF Makes Big Announcement Now No Documents Needed to withdraw Money from EPFO EPFO EPFO EPFO ECCOUNT

EPFO: If you are planning to withdraw money from the provident fund account, then there is news of relief for you. Now no document will be required to withdraw money from EPFO. The central government has given clear information about this in Parliament and this rule is already applicable.

Now only self -declaration is quite

In response to a question asked in Parliament, the Ministry of Labor and Employment said that if EPFO members want to withdraw money for needs like education, wedding, home buying, illness or emergency, then they will no longer have to submit any document. Money can be withdrawn only on the basis of self declaration.

MPs raised questions

Lok Sabha MPs Vijaykumar Vijay Vasanth, Manikam Tagore B and Suresh Kumar Shetkar had raised the question as to why EPFO has started relying only on the announcement of the employees for partial withdrawal? To this, the government replied that this step has been taken to make the process easy, transparent and reliable.

Process started in 2017

The government said that this change was implemented through composite claim form launched in 2017. Under this, the EPFO made the partial and final withdrawal process easier and relied on the self declaimer of the members, eliminating the need for the document.

Problems related to banks will also be solved

Many times the claims of the members were rejected due to this because they used to upload photos of poor quality of bank passbook or check. Now this problem has also been resolved. The need to upload the image of check or passbook has been removed from 3 April 2025. This has reduced the problems faced by KYC or bank account verification to a great extent.

More than 1.9 crore people benefited

The government said that since 22 July 2025, more than 1.9 crore EPF members have benefited from this new process. This change is an important step towards making EPFO claims simple and reliable.
