A heartbreaking incident has been seen in Kozhikode, Kerala. In fact, three people died and many others were injured when two elephants erupted during a temple festival on Thursday. According to reports, there was a stampede in which three people died after elephants erupted. About thirty others were injured in the stampede, out of which 8 people are said to be critical. The injured have been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College and nearby hospitals.

According to local residents, the incident came to light a day after the death of a 45-year-old man in a wild elephant attack in a forest bank of Nulpuzha village on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. After the incident, locals protested on Tuesday and alleged that they were not able to get out of their homes due to frequent threat to wild animals attacks including elephants.
