Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that, about 1 crore gig workers will directly benefit from the facility of registration on the e-earrings portal.
Gig workers will benefit
Explain that Gig workers include a shop -working helper, auto driver, driver, puncture maker, shepherd, dairy wale, cattle rearers, paper hawker, and Jomato, Swigi, Amazon, delivery boy of Flipkart. Gig workers are people who do temporary work and change their work when they get a better opportunity. For example, people working on apps such as Swiggy, Jomato and Uber are Gig workers. All these people can now get e-labor cards. At the same time, after the announcement of registration on the e -ram portal in the budget speech, now it is a big question that how can workers register?
Talk that registration on the e -ram portal can be done online and offline in both ways. Gig workers can register themselves by visiting e-earrration portal https://eshram.gov.in/. After registration, they will also be given a card.
Learn how to register online
For online registration on the e -ram portal, you must first go to the eshram.gov.in website. Then click on the “Register on Eshram” button. After clicking, enter your Aadhaar -linked mobile number and captcha code. Next, you will be asked the question whether you are EPFO or ESIC members, answer it. Now click on “Send OTP” and put the OTP that comes on your mobile. Then enter your 14 digit Aadhaar number and tick on Terms & Conditions.
Now click on “Submit”, and a new form will open, in which fill your date of birth, address, education and bank information. Check all the information well and submit it again by ticking on the “consent”. In this way your registration will be completed. You can also download it and take a printout.
