The stock saw heavy trading volume with around 3.09 lakh shares, which is more than 75 per cent of its 10-day average volume. Power grid shares have seen a decline for the fourth consecutive day. The company announced its results of the October-December quarter of the current financial year on 4 February. The government company recorded a huge decline of more than 4 per cent in the NET profit of Q3, which was Rs 3,862 crore.

Tata Steel shares fell more than 3 per cent to close at Rs 133.90 per share, with a volume of 11 million shares, which is about 69 per cent of its 10-day average trading volume. Metal shares were seen in metal shares after US President Donald Trump threatened to threaten 25 per cent tariffs on all imports of steel and aluminum in the US. The shares of Tata Steel Pierce like JSW Steel and Hindalco also saw a huge decline of about 2 per cent.

Jomato shares fell nearly 3 per cent to close at Rs 227.15 per share. Although there was some recovery in the stock after falling below Rs 210 earlier this year, it is still 25 percent less than its all -time high 304 rupees in December last year.

Titan shares also saw a decline today. The shares of this Tata Group’s shares fell by about 2.83 per cent to close at Rs 3,327.10 per share. The stock is currently at the lowest level in 200 days.

The Sensex fell 548 points to close at 77,311.80. Most of its shares closed in red mark. At the same time, very few shares closed in green mark with a slight increase. Kotak Mahindra Bank’s stock rose by 1.34 per cent to close at Rs 1,962 per share. Shares of Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank and TCS recorded a slight increase of up to 1 per cent.
