US President Donald Trump on Sunday said that he was avoiding 1600 employees of USAID, which provides help abroad.
Apart from this, the rest of the employees are being sent to the paid leave. That is, they will not come to work but they will continue to get salary.
Only a few leaders and highly essential staffes in the world will be kept in the USAID (US Agency for International Development).
This is the same institution that gave a funding of Rs 182 crore to increase voter turnout during elections in India. Trump has raised questions five times a week.

Central Government Bid- USAID made project funds worth 6.5 thousand crores in the country
Here, the latest report of India’s Finance Ministry has revealed that USAid had funded seven projects from Rs 6,505 crore between 2023-2024. These projects are working in the country in the partnership of the Government of India.
It has also been told in this report that USAID had said to give a fund of about Rs 825 crore in FY 2023-2024 for these seven projects.
Under the Finance Ministry, the Department of Economic Affairs in its report shared the details of the projects funded in 2023-24. During this time no funding was done to increase the voter turnout.
Projects for which funding were funded are associated with agricultural and food security programs, water, cleaning and hygiene, renewable energy, disaster management and health.
Development funding between America-India continues from 1951
America’s bilateral development assistance began in 1951 for India. It is mainly sent via USAID. Since its commencement, USAID has provided financial assistance of more than Rs 1.47 lakh crore for more than 555 projects in India.
