Trump has signed several executive orders since being sworn in, ranging from imposing tariffs to ending birthright citizenship.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday ordered the end of the ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program’ (DEI) run against discrimination. All its employees have been sent on leave after paying their salaries. Not only this, preparations have also been made to fire these people.

According to Reuters, the aim of this program is to promote opportunities for women, blacks, minorities, LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented groups. Due to this decision of Trump, the campaign started to end prejudice and discrimination against these communities may be in trouble.

Discrimination against black people in America has long been a subject of controversy. However, some people allege that under the guise of this issue, the rights of white people are ignored.

Trump also puts pressure on private companies

Under DEI, the US Justice Department can also investigate private companies. In this, it is seen what process has been followed by the companies to hire people and whether there is any discrimination in it.

However, many people believe that white people are discriminated against under DEI. Trump had promised to shut down DIE during his election campaign. Trump is also pressurizing the private sector to review the joining done keeping in mind different groups of people.

According to the Labor Department, Trump also canceled the order issued by Lyndon Johnson in 1965, which said that there would be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender and nationality in federal contracts.

America's 36th President Lyndon Johnson issued orders in 1965 to stop discrimination in federal jobs.

Trump may impose 10% on China

Apart from this decision, Trump is also considering imposing 10% tariff on China. Trump has also threatened to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS countries. Most of the products sold in America come from other countries. In such a situation, experts fear that these decisions of Trump may increase inflation in America.

According to a PWC survey, 45% of Americans support a 10 percent tariff on China. About 33% of Americans are ready for a 20% tariff on China. Almost the same number of Americans are in favor of imposing 60% tariff on the import of Chinese products. This means that there is a special bitterness among Americans about China. Trump can take advantage of this public sentiment.

Trump believes that tariffs will increase manufacturing and employment in America. But this will increase costs for retail companies, which they can pass on to customers. The National Retail Federation and Consumer Technology Association have warned that the tariffs will ultimately increase costs for American businesses and consumers.
