Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has finally broken her silence on the cheeky statement of Ramesh Bidhuri, BJP candidate from Kalkaji Assembly constituency of Delhi. Let us tell you that BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri had recently said that he will build roads like Congress leader ‘Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks’ in his constituency. With this statement, the political temperature in Delhi as well as in the country has risen. However, after the controversy arose, Bidhuri had expressed regret over the comment.

Priyanka started laughing

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Priyanka termed Bidhuri’s comments about her as “ridiculous” and said that during the Delhi Assembly elections, important issues should be discussed instead of such irrelevant topics. While leaving the parliamentary committee meeting, Priyanka started laughing and sarcastically said, “He (Bidhuri) did not say anything about his cheeks. This is a ridiculous comment and it is all irrelevant.

When she was asked whether Ramesh had expressed regret over his statement, she said that all this was nonsense. Elections are being held in Delhi. Important issues should be discussed.

Election Commission also strict on controversial remarks

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Tuesday said on the controversial remarks made by Ramesh Bidhuri regarding Priyanka Gandhi that there should not be ‘dirty comments’ about women. He said, ‘If anyone does this, it is shameful and should be condemned. He warned that if anyone crosses the limits by commenting on women in the Delhi Assembly elections, a case will be registered. He said, ‘I am warning that if you cross the limits, use children, comment against women, then we will not allow it… If you speak like this about mothers and sisters, then it is shameful. If you cross the limit, we will file a case.
