New Delhi: Vande Bharat train from Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra has been canceled for about one and a half months. Northern Railway has canceled Vande Bharat from Delhi to Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for 50 days. Vande Bharat will not go from Delhi to Katra from 16 January to 6 March.
Vande Bharat train will remain canceled for 50 days
According to the information given by the Railways, the semi high speed train will not be in service for 50 days. The train has been canceled due to yard remodeling of Jammu Tawi Yard. Cancellation of the train may increase the problems of devotees going to Vaishno Devi. Due to train cancellation, passengers may have to take help of other trains and buses.
This Vande Bharat will remain canceled
According to the information, Indian Railways has temporarily suspended the New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express, the country’s second train connecting the national capital with Jammu and Kashmir. Train number (22439/22440) runs between New Delhi Railway Station and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Which has been cancelled. However, the second Vande Bharat Express (22477/22478) running from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi will continue to run regularly.
Let us inform that this is part of 65 other trains canceled from Jammu Railway Station in view of the renovation work at Jammu Yard. The Jammu station redevelopment project includes redesigning the signal system, expanding the platforms and more.
It takes 8 hours to go from Delhi to Katra
New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express covers the distance of 655 km between Delhi and Katra in 8 hours and 5 mins. This train stops at Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana Junction, Pathankot Cantonment and Jammu Tawi. This semi-high-speed train was developed by Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and was inaugurated on October 3, 2019.
