Delhi open atp challenger tournament: The organizers of the Delhi Open ATP Challenger Tournament on Saturday announced a wild card entry to three Davis Cup players in the main draw of Mains Single. These include the names of Shashikumar Mukund, Ramkumar Ramanathan and young player Karan Singh. In addition, Chirag Duhan and Aryan Shah, who were part of the Davis Cup training camp, have received a wild card for the qualifying event with Aditya Govila and Siddharth Rawat.
World’s top players will participate
The ATP Challenger 75 will include prominent players like South Africa’s Lloyd Harris and 2019 Junior Wimbledon Champion Japan’s Shintaro Mochizuki, who finished 31st in the world rankings. These players participating in this tournament have been given the top 8 seeds. Harris is in fourth place in a single draw while 21 -year -old Cobbler has been given sixth preference. Vit Koprava of Czech Republic has got a place as the top seeded player of this tournament and is to increase his five ATP Challenger titles. Second and third are Britain’s Billy Harris and Australia’s Triston Schoolcket.

DLTA President and India’s non-Khiladi Davis Cup captain Rohit Rajpal said that the tournament is a great platform for both experienced players and emerging talent to test themselves at a high level. He further said that it gives important ranking points, which gives the players a chance to climb the ATP table. In 2024, the Delhi Open title was won by Jyofrey Blanacco of France by defeating Hong Kong’s Coalman Wong 6-4, 6-2. However, he has decided not to defend his title this time.
