Rahul Dravid
Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid has expressed confidence in the young Indian players of the team. Dravid believes that these players will show their talent internationally and will make a strong comeback for the team in the next Indian Premier League session. Rajasthan lost by 10 runs in the match against Punjab Kings on 18 May. This was the third consecutive defeat of the team. Rajasthan Royals team was out before the IPL playoff race and this season the team now has only one match left.
In the press conference after the match, Dravid said that there are many promising Indian batsmen in our team. Even today, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Dhruv Jurael batted well. Sanju Samson and Ryan Parag also showed strength. I am confident that these players will play even better in the coming year. Dravid also explained how these young players can gain further experiences. He said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ryan Parag will play for India Under-19 and India A team throughout the year. During this time, he will have to face strict competition international level matches, which will make his game and enhance them.
Bowlers disappointed
He hoped that when these players return the next season, they would look more experienced and confident. Dravid also spoke on the performance of this season of the team. He said that the team came close to victory in many matches, but could not win the match in the last moments. Sometimes the bowlers gave 15-20 runs more, sometimes the middle shots could not come out of the middle and lower order in batting. This was the biggest drawback of this season.
Rajasthan team is full of talent
Dravid said that there is no point in blaming only the batsmen. Honestly, he did not feel that this wicket was a wicket of 220 runs. It was a wicket of about 195–200 runs and we also gave 20 runs. Dravid finally said that Rajasthan Royals have talented players and are confident that the team will return with better performance in the next session.
