Miao Hua was considered a close associate of Xi Jinping.
Defense Minister was also accused of corruption
Since becoming President, Xi Jinping has been engaged in prevention of corruption spread in the army. Last year, Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun also appeared in an anti -corruption drive, after which an investigation was seated against him. Earlier, two former Defense Ministers Lee Shangfu and Wei Fenghe were removed from the post.
Xi’s target is to decide loyalty for the Communist Party in the army and make it global super power. Experts also believe that this action is part of the abolition of corruption as well as strengthening the power of Xi Jinping.

Dong Jun became the Defense Minister in December 2023. He was the third Defense Minister of China against whom such an investigation was initiated.
