The purpose of this marathon between humans and robots was to show China’s growth in the world of robotics and technology.
A unique half marathon race between humans and 21 robots took place on Saturday in Beijing, the capital of China. This was the first time these machines ran with humans up to a distance of 21 kilometers (13 mi).
The race took place in the south-eastern Yizhuang district of Beijing, where many of China’s big technology companies have an office. Its purpose was to show China’s progress in the world of robotics and technology.
Robots of companies like China’s Droidup and Noatics Robotics also participated in this race. The size of some robtes in the race was less than 120 cm (3.9 ft), while some were long up to 1.8 meters (5.9 ft).

Robots were accompanied by human trainers, but many robots wandered and collided.

The fastest robot took 2 hours 40 minutes to complete the 21 km marathon.

Different size robots participated in the marathon, some had less than 4 feet size.

The race took place in the southeastern Yizhuang district of the capital Beijing.

Robots appeared in different getups during the race.

Robot completed 2 hours 40 minutes and man completed race in 1 hour The Robot ‘Tiangong Ultra’ of the Beijing Innovation Center of Human Robotics first completed the race in 2 hours 40 minutes in machines, while the human winner took 1 hour 2 minutes to complete the race.
The record of completing 21 km marathon in the shortest time is the name of Jacob Kiplim (56 minutes 42 seconds). Just as humans need to drink water in the middle during the race, robots were given permission to change batteries.
Robot was accompanied by human trainers, who also supported machines during the race. Some robots wore running shoes, one wore boxing globs and the other wore a red hand band on which the Chinese language wrote bound to bin (ready to win) in the Chinese language.

‘Tiangong Ultra’ first completed this race.

A robot collapsed during the race.

A company claimed that its robot resembles almost humans and also has a capacity to blink and smile.
470 robots on 10,000 employees in China Robotics Center Chief Technology Officer Tang Gian said that ‘Tiangong Ultra’ was helped by long legs and an algorithm during the race. This made it run a marathon like humans.
Tang said-

I do not want to bite the boast, but I think no other robotics in the West countries can match the sports achievements of Tiangong. The battery of the robot was changed only three times during the race.
China has overtaken Germany and Japan by rapidly growing robotics in the last few years. China had 470 robots per 10,000 employees in 2023, the figure is more than 429 in Germany and Japan’s 419. Now only South Korea and Singapore are ahead of China in robot density.
Humanoid robot market will be $ 66 billion by 2032 The global humanoid robot market size was 2.43 billion in 2023 to reach $ 66 billion by 2032. Humanoid robot is a type of robot, whose size is like a human body. Currently Humanoid Robot is in the initial stage of development.
At the same time, India’s Manavarupi robot market was $ 42.0 million in 2023, which is expected to reach $ 149.4 million by 2030.
There will be 2.5 lakh robots in industrial jobs Goldman Sax estimates that by 2035 the Humanoid robot market will be $ 38 billion. 2.5 lakh humanoid robots will be sent for industrial use in five years. By 2035, 10 lakh robots will be purchased by customers.
