The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a new scheme for farmers. The state government has taken an important step to increase income and make farming a profitable deal. Especially keeping in mind the farmers who cultivate paddy, the Chief Minister Krishak Promotion Scheme has been launched. Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 4000 per hectare to farmers growing paddy.
Millions of farmers cultivating paddy often suffer losses due to increase in costs and falling prices in the market. In view of this, the government has started this scheme so that farmers get relief and do not back down from paddy cultivation.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme?
The direct benefit of this scheme will be given to those farmers who are growing paddy crops. The government will pay money on the basis of their farming area. For example, if a farmer cultivates paddy in 2 hectares, he will get 8000 rupees. This amount will be directly transferred to the bank account of farmers in the month of March, when they need the most money.
What is the purpose of the plan?
The government targets that farmers should join farming and increase their income. When farmers struggling with risks like rain, drought, and fall in crop price, they get the encouragement to continue farming. Especially for small and medium farmers who cultivate with limited resources, it will be very useful for Rs 4000 per hectare.
Last season data
Last year i.e. in 2024, about 6.69 lakh farmers sold paddy crop on about 12.2 lakh hectares of land. Now the government will give them an additional assistance of ₹ 488 crore, which will strengthen their economic condition.
Relief for wheat farmers too
Although the focus of the scheme is on paddy, the government has also made wheat cultivators happy. They will also get a minimum support price with a minimum support price, Rs 175 per quintal bonus, which will reach the total price of wheat to Rs 2600 per quintal.
Eligibility and necessary procedure
The benefit of the scheme will be available only to those farmers who have completed their KYC process on time. At the same time, the government will also fill the resolution letter from the farmers in which they will give information about their fields and crops. This will ensure that the assistance reaches the right farmers. ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Promotion Scheme’ will not only help farmers in the current season but will also make them self -sufficient for future cultivation.
