New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik may increase in difficulties in the alleged corruption case related to Keru Hydro project. The CBI has filed a charge sheet in the court on Thursday against Satyapal Malik and 5 others. The CBI had registered a case in the alleged corruption case related to the Keeru Hydro project.

CBI is investigating the case

The case is related to the Kiru Hydroelectric Power Project in Kishtwar. In which contracts of about Rs 2,200 crore were given. During its investigation in February 2024, the CBI searched more than 30 places including Malik’s residences in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. Several people came under the CBI investigation, including former CVPPPL chairman Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, former officers MS Babu, MK Mittal and Arun Kumar Mishra, besides Patel Engineering Limited, which was given the contract.

According to the CBI, it was not implemented despite the decision to re-tender the project through e-tendering through reverse auction at the 47th board meeting of CVPPPL and was finally given to the contract Patel Engineering Limited.

Satyapal Malik posted a picture on the X handle amid the charge sheet file in the court. In which he is seen hospitalized. His serious condition can be easily gauged by looking at the picture. The former governor tweeted that ‘I am unable to lift many of my well -wishers’ phones. Right now my condition is very bad. I am currently admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Delhi and are not in a condition to talk to anyone ‘.

Satyapal Malik had made this allegation

Let us know that Satyapal Malik has worked as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir from August 23, 2018 to October 30, 2019. He alleged that he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore to approve two files, one of which was related to the Keru Hydroelectric Power Project. Malik had previously denied any kind of disturbance and criticized the raid, saying it was an attempt to scare him.
