The countdown for the trade deal for all countries has started by US President Donald Trump. According to media reports, there is a possibility of ‘mini trade deal’ between India and the US before the July 9 deadline.
It is believed that many points have been agreed between the two countries. There may be a deal in the next two-three days. This is being called a mini trade deal because India and the US are focusing on the bilateral trade agreement (BTA) of Rs 43 lakh crore to be held in September-October.
India will not give America entry on Agri sector
In a trade talks in Washington, India has refused to give the US entry into the Agri sector. Whereas the US has been demanding to provide markets in India genetically modified crop products.
In view of India’s attitude, the US has decided not to pressurize the agricultural sector at present. Whereas India is maintained on low American tariffs on Labor Intensive Sector Garment, James-Julary and Leather Products.
It has been said by India that in the three years after BTA, the real figures of bilateral trade will start coming out.
Detail of the deal is now difficult to come out
The Indo-US trade deal will be soon. But all the provisions of the deal before 9 July are difficult to reveal. Because many provisions of the deal must be agreed. Trump also made a deal with China and Britain but did not state its provisions. Only the deal will be declared in the stage before India.
India will not open farming sector as our 60% of our population depends on it. 1% of America’s population depends on farming. India will make up with a large purchase of energy and defense from the US. The purchase has also started.
Also, India has announced to reduce duty in the budget for many American products. It includes American motorcycles and whiskey.
10-year defense framework ready between India and America
A 10-year defense framework has been prepared between India and America. According to media reports, there has been an agreement between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth in a phone conversation.
Hegseth said, India has always been a trusted partner of America. The first batch of Apache AH-64 E Attack Helicopter to India from the US will be delivered on July 15. The second batch can be found in November.
Let us know that the agreement of purchasing these 6 Apache helicopters of about 5 thousand crores was reached in 2020. The Indian Defense Procurement Council (DAC) has started the purchase process of weapons worth Rs 1 lakh crore.
According to the Ministry of Defense, this includes the purchase of Armed Recovery Vehicle, Electronic Warfare System and surface -to -air missiles for the three armies.
