Champions trophy 2025 semi final schedule: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 began in Karachi on 19 February. Within 5 days, both semi-finalists were fixed from Group-A to India and New Zealand but had to wait for the last group stage match for the semi-final schedule. Team India defeated New Zealand and finished the top in their group and thus the picture of both the semi -finals was cleared. India and Australia will face to face in the first semi-finals of the Champions Trophy. The match will be played on 4 March at Dubai International Stadium. A day later, on March 5, there will be a fight between South Africa and New Zealand in the second semi -finals. This semi -finals will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Now the question arises that what will happen if the rain disrupted in the semi -final match. If the match could not be held due to rain, then which team will go to the final.
What will happen if it rains in the semi -finals?
In fact, the ICC Champions Trophy has been held for 2025 knockout matches- semi-finals and reserve days for the finals. If the semi -final match is not done on its scheduled day due to rain, then there will be a match on Reserve Day. However, every effort will be made to end the semi -final match on the scheduled day itself. If this is not possible, the match will start from where it was stopped on Reserve Day.
Which team will benefit?
In knockout matches, the results through DLS will come out only when the team batting at number two will play at least 25 overs. In case of no result of the semi -final match, the team living up in the group stage will go to the final. That is, due to the cancellation of semi-finals due to rain, Team India and South Africa will reach the finals as India topped Group-A while the African team topped Group B. If the final is canceled due to rain, the trophy will be shared between the two teams.
