In fact, India’s only representative Nitin Menon has decided not to go to Pakistan in the ICC’s elite panel umpires. He has opted to get out of umpiring in the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan this month for personal reasons.

The ICC announced the list of 15 match officers on 5 February, including three match referee and 12 umpires, which will be an officer of the tournament to start in Karachi on 19 February, which will be finalized on March 9. David Boon of Australia, Ranjan Madugale of Sri Lanka and Andrew Picroft of Zimbabwe have been nominated as a match referee for the eight teams tournaments. The tournament will be held in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi at three places in Pakistan, while India will play all their matches in Dubai due to security concerns in which will start on 20 February against Bangladesh.

Champions Trophy away from 2025

A source in the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) told PTI that ICC wanted to include Nitin Menon in the Champions Trophy team. But he decided not to go to Pakistan for personal reasons.
