The incident took place in Chikkakottigehalli of Tumakuru district, where the leopard was roaming for the last 5 days. There was an atmosphere of panic among the people regarding this leopard. Forest department employees started rescue operation for the leopard. A trap was laid to catch the leopard. But instead of getting trapped in the net, the leopard started running towards where there were some women and children. At the same time, 43-year-old Yogananda caught hold of the leopard by its tail to stop the leopard from going in that direction.
