The court has sentenced the convict a strict sentence in the case of rape and murder of a foreign woman in Goa. On Monday, a local resident of Ireland-Britain was convicted and sentenced to a harsh sentence. Vikat Bhagat has been convicted in a seven-year-old Ireland-Bitten citizen in the rape case.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, the body of Irish-Bitish woman citizen was found on 14 March 2017 in a forest area of Canakona village in South Goa. The 28 -year -old woman from Dongal, Northwest Ireland came to visit Goa in March 2017. During this, Bhagat befriended him. After this, one day Bhagat raped the woman and then murdered her. According to police, the foreign woman was attacked with stone. Due to this he died. The body of the woman was found in a blood -soaked and naked state. He also had bruises on his head and face.
Court also fined
The court sentenced the convict of the case to two years imprisonment for destroying the evidence. The court has directed that the two punishment will run together. Police investigating the case have said that one evidence was collected with great care in this case. The investigation was then completed and the police managed to punish the convict. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 for rape and murder on the convict and Rs 10,000 for destroying evidence.
What did the victim’s family say?
After the court’s decision, the victim’s family members have issued a statement. He said- “We are very grateful to all those involved in our fight for justice as Daniel’s family and friend. People have considered the victim as their daughter and tirelessly fought for her. ” (input language)
