Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah: Jasprit Bumrah has performed well against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the first test match, he took the responsibility of captaincy and made the team win the match by taking 8 wickets. After this, he was the match winner for Team India in the entire series and took a total of 32 wickets, which is the best performance by a foreign fast bowler in Australia. He received the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance. Now Bumrah has been praised by Australian Michael Clarke.
Clarke praised Bumrah
Michael Clarke told ESPNcricinfo that when I thought about Bumrah’s performance after the series ended, I think he is the best fast bowler ever in all three formats. I know many great fast bowlers including Curtly Ambrose, Glenn McGrath, who did not get a chance to play T20 cricket. That’s why I’m not talking about them. But the fast bowler who has played in all these formats, if seen, will be the best.
India had a chance to win in Sydney
Michael Clarke said that he is really so great in any situation so that is what makes him great. Whatever the situation, whatever the format, this player is brilliant. India probably fell behind by 20 runs (in Sydney). I think if Bumrah’s team had a lead of 180 and he had bowled, India could have won. He is such a good bowler. He is much better than other bowlers in his team.
Couldn’t bowl due to injury
Due to injury, Jasprit Bumrah did not bowl in the second innings of the fifth Test against Australia. After suffering the injury, he was immediately taken to the hospital for a scan. He had a strain in his back muscles but he came to bat. Australian batsmen took advantage of Bumrah’s absence and easily chased the score of 162 runs. Australia won the series 3-1.
