Earn lakhs of rupees annually from chilli farming
Farmer Govind Ram Maurya, while talking to Local 18, said that the farmers of the district are earning good income from chilli these days. Green chillies are prepared at low cost. Its demand always remains throughout the year. For chilli cultivation, fertile land and good drainage system are necessary, so that good yield of chilli can be achieved. Many farmers of the district are cultivating chilli with modern methods. Due to which they are earning lakhs of rupees annually. Chilli is produced well in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Odisha. Due to which farmers earn profits worth lakhs. The soil here is fertile and well drained for chilli cultivation. Therefore, good yield of chilli is available in these areas.
Chilli is a better option
Farmer Govind Rai Maurya further said that at present green chillies are being sold in the market at the rate of Rs 150 to Rs 200 per kg. Due to which farmers are earning good profits at low cost. This is a good option for farming.
