Budget 2025: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will start presenting the Union Budget in Parliament on 1 February 2025 at 11 am. This will be a budget of FY 2025-26. Crores of farmers of the country have high expectations from this budget. Farmer leaders have also placed their demands before the government. The Bharatiya Kisan Union has made several demands from the government for farmers. The farmer party has also demanded to increase MSP for many other crops demanding a change in the MSP system.

Demand to increase MSP by keeping land fare, wages in mind

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) speaker Dharmendra Malik has said that major changes are needed in the current MSP system of the country. The Indian Farmers Union is demanding a comprehensive system compared to the MSP. The BKU demands that a new and comprehensive MSP system should be created, which includes farmers’ land fare, wages of farmers and expenses after harvesting. So that farmers can get the right price for their crops.

Farmer party is also demanding MSP on other crops

Dharmendra Malik has demanded from the government that the scope of MSP should be extended beyond the current 23 yield. Malik explained this demand and said that if the government does this, then farmers can be protected from the ups and downs in the price of crops. Along with this, it will also ensure that farmers will get the right price for their produce.

Second budget of PM Modi’s third term

Let us tell you that this will be the second budget after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assuming power for the third time. After the formation of the government in June 2024 with its allies, the first full budget of PM Modi’s third term was presented in July last year. This will be the 8th budget of Nirmala Sitharaman.
