During searches in Thoubal, Manipur, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition. Police said on Wednesday that the seized weapons included a pistol, mortar, hand grenade and several live cartridges of ammunition.

In Delhi, after killing his wife, a man hid her body in the bed. He was going to cut his wife’s body into pieces. Deputy Commissioner of Police Ankit Chauhan said on Wednesday that the body of 26-year-old Deepika Chauhan was found inside a box bed in Janakpuri, South-West Delhi on Friday.
The mouth of the body was wrapped with white tape to prevent decomposition. Investigation revealed that the deceased Deepika worked in a spa. She was married to a man named Dhanraj who drove a bike taxi. Dhanraj was an alcoholic and spent all his money on his addiction and Deepika used to run the house with her own money.

Drugs worth more than Rs 11 crore were seized in separate operations in Cachar and Karbi Anglong districts of Assam. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma gave this information on Tuesday. He said the police seized 1.17 kg of heroin worth Rs 5.1 crore from Dighar Fullertol area of Cachar district late on Monday night. 1.22 kg suspected heroin worth Rs 6 crore seized from the bus in Dilai Tiniyali.
