The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 37 kilometers in the Hughnada Sea. This earthquake occurred at 9.19 pm (5.49 pm Indian time). No information about any damage, injury or casualty has been revealed so far.

Immediately after the earthquake, the agency issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas in Miyazaki and Kochi. According to estimates, it could be up to 1 meter. Nearby people have been appealed to stay away from the coast and go to higher places.
