A large cargo ship caught fire in the sea near Alaska, USA. The ship had 3 thousand vehicles, of which about 800 electric cars were. The ship was going towards Mexico at the time of the accident.
Smoke was seen rising from the back of the ship on Tuesday. Electric vehicles were kept here. When the fire started growing, 22 crew members on the ship landed themselves in a lifeboat and left the ship. After a while, another ship passing by saved everyone safely. The accident occurred about 490 km from Edak Island in Alaska.
The ship’s name is Morning Midas. It is 183 meters long and Liberia runs under the flag of the country. It was built in 2006. It left Jantai port in China on 26 May and was going to Lazaro Cardeneas port in Mexico.
